Iran names new female ambassador to Finland

TEHRAN- Masoumeh Abad has been appointed as Iran’s new ambassador to Finland.

Naming her as ambassador was proposed by Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian and confirmed by President Ebrahim Raisi.     

She is the first woman being appointed as ambassador under Raisi’s administration and 5th since the Islamic Revolution in the country. 

Abad was previously a member to the Tehran City Council.
